The Ho Tram Project Company announced that work has begun on the main phase of development at the MGM Grand Ho Tram, the first of five luxury resorts planned for the $4.2 billion Ho Tram Strip in Ba Ria Vung Tau province

Phu Thinh Investment and Construction JSC, one of the largest construction firms in Vietnam, began driving in the piles that form the foundations for the enormous buildings housing the facilities for the international-standard mega resort. “While we have been extremely busy at the site over the past few months, the piling process is a major development milestone for the project and all stakeholders associated with the Ho Tram Strip are very excited to be starting the main phase of construction,” said Mr Jef Forrer, President of Development with the Ho Tram Project Company. Phase I of the development is scheduled to open in early 2012. It will be Vietnam’s first world-class integrated resort, featuring the five-star MGM Grand Ho Tram and a championship golf course designed by Greg Norman. The Ho Tram Project Company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Asian Coast Development Canada Ltd. (ACDL), an international development and real estate company specialising in integrated resort destinations. VET
